Cover Templates
If you have selected our Platinum Package, and 1st Book Publishing will provide you with a professional cover design, you have to choose one of the five templates below. You can click on any of the five thumbnails to see the cover in more detail.
We appreciate as much input as possible - you can specify a font, choose any background color, stipulate positioning of certain elements like title, subtitle, images etc.
Please construe the templates as examples how a cover can look like - they only serve as a guideline for authors who have no idea how their cover could look like. If you are more advanced and know what you want, let us know. For example, you can simply draw your ideas on a piece of paper, scan the sketch, and email it to us as a jpg file.
Template 1
Description:
- Title, subtitle, author's name centered on front cover.
- Elliptical front cover image.
- Front cover background color: gradient from brown to beige.
- Synopsis (107 words) in beige box
- Extensive "about-the-author" info (274 words)
- Author photo, bottom right

- Author's name centered on front cover.
- Neutral front cover image that bleeds off right the cover.
- 1 testimonial on front and 3 on back cover.
- Synopsis (153 words) on back cover
- Followed by short "about-the-author" info (26 words)
- No photo of author on back but inclusion of author's website.

- Cover background gradient color: yellow to white.
- Synopsis (156 words) on back cover.
- Followed by headline and author's website in black box.
